project has been an effort to evaluate student learning at the department and program levels. All
academic units and the General Education Program are required to have a written set of student
learning outcomes. These outcomes are in the form of statements about the knowledge, skills,
and dispositions that students are expected to acquire as they pass through the major courses
and General Education requirements. In assessment, departments are expected to devise
assessments that demonstrate the degree to which students are actually achieving these

English and science. Testing instruments and procedures may include student portfolios,
commercially published tests, locally developed tests, interviews and questionnaires. Various
rating methods are described. Site mentioned that student portfolios may be used but no further
information was available. As part of the student and faculty assessment process, a survey will
target employers who have provided internship experiences for the students or recently hired
UWGB graduates. The survey will provide information on employers' perception of the academic
