ACCESS TO THE CSUCI LIBRARY
(WITH ADDITIONAL $40 ANNUAL FEE)
Use of any item while in the library building. Use of computers and multimedia equipment while in the
library. Use of any electronic resource (catalogs, e-books, e-journals, and databases) while in the library.
Request books from the storage facility. Place a hold on a book that is currently checked out. Check out
up to 10 books. Books may be checked out for three weeks and renewed up to three times. All loaned
books are subject to recall. Overdue books are subject to standard fines and replacement charges. A
MyQuicksilver account that allows eligible members to view their patron record, renew items, and place
requests. Members will be prompted to enter their 14-digit barcode number or 9-digit Personal ID number
and last name at http://quicksilver.csuci.edu/. For library-related questions, please contact the University

10% DISCOUNT AT THE COVE BOOKSTORE
All members of the Alumni & Friends Association receive a 10% discount on items such as apparel, gifts,
general reading materials, and supplies from the bookstore located in the Bell Tower Building. This
discount does not apply to textbooks, software, food, or other miscellaneous items.
10% DISCOUNT TO SELECT EXTENDED EDUCATION PROGRAMS
10% off select Extended Education programs and classes (special session degree programs are specifically
excluded). Enrollment in Open University is on a space-available basis. Extended Education at CSU
Channel Islands extends the mission of the university throughout the community by providing access to
quality education for non-traditional students and local organizations.
$10 OFF AN OSHER LIFELONG LEARNING MEMBERSHIP
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute gives people age 50 and above the opportunity to learn about
subjects that interest them, right in their own backyard. Without the burdens of preparing for a career or
worrying about grades, Osher participants discover fascinating subjects that cover history, science, politics,
art, culture and more.
LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT DISCOUNTS
Provides alumni members with a comprehensive variety of discounted programs. Some of the specials
include discounts to Universal Studios, the Broadway blockbuster Wicked, Los Angeles Dodgers games,
Kodak Theater and so much more (see the enclosed Recreation Connection sheet for full benefits).

CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Includes free workshops and seminars such as Interviewing Techniques and Resume Writing. Access to
exclusive CSUCI job search database. Free attendance to Alumni Networking Night in December when
alumni are paired with local business leaders for a one-on-one evening of mentorship and networking.
