students, who wish to use the lab for academic purposes, can have
their I.D. cards activated at the OSD office. This lab is open during
regular library hours.
We also have a computer lab, in our offices in the Brown Building,
which is generally available during office hours, except during exam
periods.
Other Resources
Adapted workstations equipped with scanners, screen readers and
large-print software may be found in the following locations:
 Law Library
 Education Library
 Music Library
 Health Science Library
 Physical Sciences & Engineering Library
Other technology
The OSD has several computers equipped with scanning, screen
reading, magnification and voice recognition software. These are
available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
The OSD also has CCTVs, a braille embosser and tactile image
enhancer, adapted key boards and other specialty hardware available
for student use.
In conformity with the McGill University Computer Users’
Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to revoke lab access to
students who demonstrate an inability to use the facilities in
an appropriate manner.
