Class of 2010 Guide to Local Scholarships & Financial Aid Prepared by the MHS Guidance Department Introduction This guide is provided to give students information about opportunities to continue their educations. Students are urged to examine requirements and apply for all scholarships and grants for which they are eligible as well as other forms of financial aid as necessary. Mexico Senior High School students are fortunate to have such very generous community support in scholarships and to be graduates of an A+ School. It is the responsibility of the student to meet deadlines in applying for scholarships, grants and loans. Students are encouraged to acknowledge scholarships received with a personal thank you to the sponsor of the award. To Apply For Local Scholarships All applications are available for download from the Mexico Public Schools Website: www.mexicoschools.net Schools High School Guidance Department Computers and typewriters are available in the Library and Guidance Office. Students are encouraged to remember that neatness and completeness are important while completing applications. Photocopying is not available through the Guidance Office. 1) Pick up 7th semester transcript from Guidance Office. 2) Download and complete desired scholarship applications. 3) Make appropriate number of copies of transcript and/or standard application. 4) Complete Scholarship Cover Sheet (can be downloaded from web site or picked up in Guidance Office). 5) Turn in Scholarship Cover Sheet and scholarship applications with transcripts attached to the Guidance Office.
