Board Advisory Committees: Membership Application Information Last updated: March 2013 Thank you for your interest in Park Day’s Board Advisory Committees Board Advisory Committees aim to draw a diverse complement of people who are skilled, committed and hardworking members from the Park Day School community and beyond. The committees serve the school by bringing together the diverse perspectives, backgrounds, professional and personal skills, effort and experiences of a group of individuals who can work as a team. We encourage members to serve for at least two years, but a one-year term is possible. Committee service generally entails attending meetings (usually monthly) and giving 1-5 hours per month in follow-up work. All applicants to Board Committees are greatly appreciated. We hope that this information makes it easier for you to contribute to Park. Timeline Applications may be submitted at any time during the year, however, the priority is to build the committees in the spring for the upcoming year. February/March: Outreach; those interested submit their application April/May: decisions are made as to committee composition May/June: New members are provided with orientation.
