Girl Scouts from the Northeastern states are invited to gather at beautiful Salve Regina University in Newport,
RI, for a weekend to remember! Girls will choose four 75-minute workshops from over 50 leadership
workshops led by outstanding female consultants where they will discuss contemporary issues (college prep
issues, diversity, social justice, personal growth, peer pressure, and sensitive issues), learn strategies to
assist peers, experience diverse stress management techniques, and more! Adults will attend separate
workshops. Everyone will stay in local hotels and eat Saturday meals and Sunday breakfast in the University
Cafeteria. Activities include a dance in one of Newport’s fabulous mansions owned by Salve, movies, crafts,
sports, improv, chorus, walking the famous Cliff Walk, and more! Don’t forget to bring SWAPS! Both girls
and adults can choose to be on the Conference Council and plan the closing program, sing in the Conference
Chorus, participate in the Conference service project, etc. All adult participants must be a registered Girl
Scout in their council. Girls must be registered Girl Scouts and be in tenth through twelfth grade.
No exceptions will be made.
Cost:
$80.00 per person, Senior Girl Scouts and adults; additional $30/pp for hotel accomodations
$10.00 per person for optional Conference T-shirt—please specify size on registration form
Capacity: 250 Senior Girl Scouts and 50 adults

If registration numbers exceed capacity before the November 14 deadline, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and taken
in the order in which their applications were received, if space becomes available. Registrations received after the November
14 deadline, will be accepted on a space-available basis. This event fills quickly so register early. Registrations will be date
stamped as they are received. Email confirmation of acceptance will be sent out by December 12, 2014. If you individually or
your troop have been accepted into the conference; please be on the lookout for the packet via email in mid January. It is
important that a valid email is provided with the registration as ALL correspondence is through email.
Note: REFUND procedure is enclosed.

2015 Refund Guidelines
The Senior Girl Scout Leadership Conference registration fees are minimal and assist Salve Regina University
and Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England in the delivery of a safe, educational, fun and quality
experience for those who attend. Below are the guidelines to assist with the refund process:

Full Refunds
Full Refund requests must be in writing, and postmarked on or before the registration deadline
of November 14, 2014. Full refunds will be issued:
1.
If the registration is received after the conference maximum is reached.
2.
If cancellation is initiated by the girl or adult participant prior to November 15, 2014
Partial Refunds
1.
Partial refunds will be considered after the registration deadline if received on or before

Partial refunds equal $40.00 per cancellation.
January 31, 2015.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations after January 31, 2014.

Registrations received after November 14, 2014 will be accepted on a space available basis. Full payment
is required with the registration information. Senior Girl Scout and adult ratios should not exceed 2 adults
per 10 girls. We are encouraging troops and groups within councils to combine, allowing more spaces for
girl attendees. Any girls/adults to be added to the troop must fill out a new registration only with the
addition.
