PLACEMENT INDUCTION (To be completed by the placement manager): 1. Ensure that the student has a period of induction to inform them of the workplaces daily operational procedures. 2. Ensure that the student is aware of all reporting procedures and the workplaces Fire procedure. 3. Ensure all work experience students are set clear objectives linked to the work of the team and are assigned a Mentor for the duration of the placement To welcome the student formally to the work place and introduce them to the team. To orientate the student around the workplace in order to familiarise themselves with its various resources such as the office equipment and stores. To inform the student about the workplaces daily routine and various activities linked with that routine e.g. protocol for answering the telephone and message taking To inform about Hazard spotting and reporting procedures. To inform about Accident reporting procedures To inform about sickness reporting procedures. To inform about regular fire testing procedures and fire evacuation procedures.
