Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate level degree (e.g., PhD, DrPH, MD, MPH) preferred in medicine, epidemiology, health economics or health service research. Health care industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical business including R&D, clinical and marketing. 8-10 years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Strong epidemiologic, health economics, health outcomes and scientific knowledge. Significant experience in observational trials, including disease-state and drug registry studies.

Experience in clinical project development and execution, including advancement of successful strategies to prospectively generate data in support of brand value propositions. Experience in the development or selection of Patient-Reported Outcomes assessments (PROs) for US label claims. Experience in the collection of health care utilization data and the development/implementation of economic models.

Experience in working in a cross-functional environment. Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization. Evidence of exceptional team work. Demonstrated analytical, decisionmaking and problem solving skills. Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal ability.

Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all Associate Director competencies as defined in the On

Track to Success Competency Model. Proficiency in MSOffice, Outlook and database applications, including knowledge of computer modeling and data analysis. Ability to travel domestically and internationally (may include overnight travel).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure effective MORE support of selected Medical Affairs Therapeutic Area teams in data generation and market development activities for key BI Brands. Maintain awareness of rapidly evolving US healthcare market (Medicare, Medicaid, Employer LTC, Federal, Trade, MCO) and needs of health care decisionmakers for Outcomes Research data. Plan and implement strategies for providing data in support of product scientific platforms. Coordinate select Outcomes Research, registry and psychometric training activities and support Medical Affairs personnel in successful implementation. Provide oversight for therapeutic area team in the successful planning and delivery of health outcomes and health economic data in support of the product scientific platform. Manage vendor and consultant agencies (business plan and budget) in the development and execution of innovative/effective research efforts. Provide strategic input for MORE projects to ensure they are aligned for maximal effectiveness of the Medical Affairs therapeutic area team.

Oversee & coordinate the MLR review process for MORE deliverables. Oversee the development and maintenance of a project communication plan/resource binder and e-room repository for MORE plans, contracts, budgets and deliverables, including publication plans. Coordination MORE activities for the MA

POA meetings. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to increase awareness and support integration of

MORE into BI medical strategy.
