Personal Statement
I am a senior research/imaging scientist (MRI) in the department of Pediatric Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital. I am responsible for developing and optimizing MRI protocols for cardiac and body MRI studies. My research is focused on cardiac and body MRI imaging. My interests include studying MRI cardiac biomechanics, optimizing MRI protocols for children with congenital heart disease, adapting cardiac MR sequences to arrhythmia, adapting body MRI sequences to compensate for respiratory breathing, liver fat estimation (hepato-steatosis), and comparison of PET with MRI amongst others. I also serve as the
MRI safety officer in the department of Radiology and teach MRI physics to residents, fellows, and technologists.
