Annual International Dermoscopy Course for
Plastic Surgeons – 2016
Who would benefit from dermoscopy training?
All consultants, registrars and all trainee grades involved in diagnosing and managing
patients with skin cancer would benefit from dermoscopy training. Dermoscopy improves
diagnostic accuracy, should be available in all MDT’s, and the use of dermoscopy requires
training. NICE Improving Outcomes Guidance - skin cancer 2006
Comply with NICE Guidance
‘Assess all pigmented skin lesions that are referred for assessment with dermoscopy by
healthcare professionals trained in this technique.’
