Dear Parents:
We would like to invite you to celebrate our Thanksgiving Dinner with your son/daughter here at Escontrias Early
Childhood Center. This will take place in the school gym. We are sending out the information so you may make
arrangements ahead of time. Our celebrations will be as follows:
Class Schedules:
Tuesday, November 19, 2013 Pre-Kinder Thanksgiving Celebrations
Pre-Kinder Morning Class will have lunch from 10:30 to 11:30.
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out at 10:15 a.m.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 10:30-11:30.
 Parents and students go home at 11:30.
Pre-Kinder Afternoon Class will have lunch from 11:00-12:00
 Parents and students will go straight to the gym at 11:00.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 11:00-12:00.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 12:00.
Wednesday, November 20, 2013 Kindergarten Thanksgiving Celebrations
10:45-11:45 Mrs. Hernandez, Mrs. Lucio/Rubio, Mrs. Moncada
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out at 10:30.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 10:45-11:45.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 11:45.
11:15-12:15 Miss Chavez, Mr. Quintero, Mrs. Guajardo
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out at 11:00.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 11:15-12:15.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 12:15.
Thursday, November 21, 2013 1st Grade Thanksgiving Celebrations
11:30-12:30 Mrs. Apodaca, Mrs. Robles,
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out at 11:15.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 11:30-12:30.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 12:30.
11:45-12:45 Ms. Ramirez, Miss Pretzer
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out 11:30.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 11:45 to 12:45.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 12:45.
12:00-1:00 Mrs. Guillen, Mrs. Verdier, Mr. Andrade
 Parents will pick up students from the classroom and sign them out 11:45.
 Parents and students will enjoy their Thanksgiving lunch in the school gym from 12:00-1:00.
 Parents must return students to the classroom and sign them in at 1:00.
We ask that you eat the meals in the school gym. Take out meals are not permitted. The price for the meals for
all guests will be $5.00. Escontrias Early Childhood students will be offered the meal at their regular meal
status. (Free, Reduced or Paid).
If Paid or Reduced statuses please make sure there is money in the student account prior to the day of the
Thanksgiving luncheon.
The Turkey plates consist of:
Turkey with gravy – 3.5 oz.
Stuffing – 1/4 cup
Mashed Potato – ½ cup
Green Beans – ¼ cup
Fruit Salad – ¼ cup
Roll – one piece
Crustless Pumpkin Pie – 1 piece
Cranberry Sauce – 1 oz.
Milk or Tea (will charge for refills)
In order for us to prepare for the occasion, we need to know how many meals to prepare. You are welcome to
come buy your tickets in the cafeteria or the front office no later than the day before your child’s designated
luncheon. This will be our final day for ticket sales. We cannot replace lost tickets or give refunds. Tickets
are cafeteria and grade level specific. They cannot be interchange between the Early Childhood Cafeteria
and Escontrias Elementary.
Tickets will be on sale beginning November 4, 2013.
Tickets may be purchased at the cafeteria or the front office.
Due to the preparation, we will not be selling tickets in the cafeteria the day of the luncheon.
