Languages for five different tracks to ensure that students meet graduation and college eligibility requirements.

 Enrollment in World Language should not be dependent upon a student’s ELA grade and/or teacher recommendation.
o in many instances the World Language is a student’s primary language, research shows that increasing the fluency in
a student’s L1 increases their fluency in their L2 (i.e. ELA)

 All 9 grade students are able to take a World Language unless:
o they are enrolled in one or more intervention courses (i.e. Algebra companion) and their schedule does not permit.
o they are RSP or SDC students whose IEP goals indicate that this course would be inappropriate for them.
