Office and Telephone Hours
Our office hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Phone calls are welcome. Our telephone
hours are from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm. Phones will be answered during our lunch hour by voice mail from
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Your call may be returned after office hours or next business day. Please leave two
phone numbers so you can be reached easily. Please leave a message in our voice mail if you are
directed to: speak clearly and leave your name and number and reason for your call. One of our staff will
get back to you by the end of the day or next business day.

Insurance Requirements
All HMOs require that you, as the patient, bring in a written referral to our office in order for us to see
you. HMOs require referrals from your primary care physician for all visits & bone density x-ray testing.
Cigna and Aetna may use electronic referrals; however, we still need to verify that you have a current
referral on file. Problems with referrals occur daily: If you do not have a referral when you come in for
your appointment, you have two choices:
1. Reschedule your appointment
2. Leave us a check-cash-Visa-MC-Discover Payment for the amount of the visit.
All co-pays are required at the time of your visit. Unfortunately, we can only accept the following

If your insurance is not in any of the list above and you have a question whether our office accepts your
insurance, please do not hesitate to call us.
Prescription Refills
Due to the high volume of phone calls and messages we receive daily, we cannot call in any
prescriptions to your pharmacy. Please have your pharmacy fax our office a refill request for the
medication you need. So that we can better serve you, please let us know a week in advance if you need
to refill or a new prescription before your medication runs out. At each visit, always bring a list of your
medications, with the name, dose, and how you specifically take it daily. Make sure to bring a list of
medications you need prescriptions for at the time of your visit. Fax: 301-345-7715

ATTENTION: Narcotic and Opiod Prescriptions WILL NOT be dispensed to any New patients on
their first visit---If you currently take any of these medications please continue getting your refills
from your current physician. Thank you for making these arrangements before you arrive.
Forms/Letters
Due to the increasing amount of forms we receive on a daily basis we will need one month to process
your forms of any type. We will provide you with copies of your records free of charge in lieu of the
completion of forms. Please bring in forms that only your Rheumatologist can complete. The fee for
forms is $50 (prepaid). If you need a typed letter, the charge will be $100 (prepaid). The length of time
for completion for either forms or letters is up to one month (not guaranteed).
Bone Density Testing for Osteoporosis
Bone density testing (also called Dexa Scan) for Osteoporosis is offered only in the Greenbelt office.
Everyone loses bone mass as they age. This test will show if your require treatment to prevent or reverse
bone loss. This test will only test the density of the bones. If you are a post menopausal female you
should have this test every year if you are positive and every 2 years otherwise.
Confirmation, Cancellations and Rescheduling
All patient appointments are confirmed a few days before appointed day and time. If you did not receive
a call and need to confirm your appointment, please do not hesitate to call us.
Our providers are limited in having opening for appointments. Their schedules can get filled up to 2
months in advanced. Please make every effort to keep your original appointment because our next
appointment may 1-2 months away.
If you cannot keep your appointment please call our office as soon as possible so that we may
accommodate a new patient who needs to be seen on an urgent basis. We will be glad to reschedule your
appointment.
Cancellation fee apply for appointments not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
Directions to Greenbelt Office:
From North:
Take I-95 South, bear to your left and take (Beltway) 495 South towards Richmond. Take the BaltimoreWashington Parkway, exit 22 A towards Baltimore. Take the first exit, Rt. 193 (Greenbelt Rd.). You
will come to a traffic light, make a left at the light (Greenbelt Rd.). Take the next right onto Hanover
Parkway (at the Exxon Gas Station). There is only one traffic light on Hanover Parkway, go through it.
Make the first RIGHT to Hanover Drive, JUST PAST THE PNC BANK, go to the end of the street (by
the recycle containers) and make a right, make a left into our parking lot (7300 Hanover Drive).
From South:
Take the Beltway, 495-North towards Baltimore. Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, exit 22-A,
towards Baltimore and immediately bear right onto Rt. 193 – Greenbelt Rd. Make a right onto Hanover
Parkway (at the Exxon Gas Station). There is only one traffic light on Hanover Parkway, go through it.

From Clinton Area:
Take 301 North. This turn into Rt. 5. Take exit for Rt. 223 (Woodyard Rd.) towards Clinton. Woodyard
