In May 2014 the Centre expanded to take patients from across the East Midlands, including Royal Derby Hospital, Burton Hospital and United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (which includes Boston's Pilgrim Hospital), as well as Leicestershire, and Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Nottinghamshire The Centre is for patients who have multiple injuries that could result in death or a serious disability such as severe head injuries, falls or injuries from road accidents.
