It is called a ROUTINE. There is nothing special about a routine, it is just something that we follow every day. Routines are very ordinary. See if you can write your ordinary routine! Start like this : Everyday I ... Everyday I Turn to the person beside you. Do your have the same routine? Every day is not a routine day. The following is not a routine day, it looks nearly the same as an ordinary day but there is a big difference. What differences can you see between this day and the usual everyday routine? I hear the alarm clock I get up I run and look for the postman I turn off the alarm clock I have a shower I get dressed I eat my special birthday breakfast with my family I open my family birthday presents I wash my teeth I pack my bag I make my lunch I brush my hair I check that I have my keys I say goodbye I thank my family for my presents I leave the house I look forward to my birthday party Ordinary things happen during this day. But this day is a special day. It is a special time. Why do we celebrate our birthday and consider it to be a special time? Make a list of special actions that might happen on your birthday Make a list of other special times and special actions that happen at special times These special actions at special times are called SIGNIFICANT RITUALS So significant rituals are special actions that take place at special times. “All time is not the same” Fill in the missing spaces!
