Title: My Incredible Journey
Abstract: My presentation is a reflection on the last six years and my journey so far through Incredible Years. From my starting point at Dina School Training in
May 2006 with Judy Hutchings and Rhiain Gwyn at Coleg Powys this has developed on a day-to-day basis within my own classroom. I will describe how my further training has impacted on Ladywell Green Nursery and Infant School,
Newtown and also influenced my career as I have taken on the role of Community
Advisory Teacher within Powys for one day per week. This role enables me to support parents through parent groups or the School Readiness programme, fellow teachers within my own school and throughout our county of Powys and children through the Dina School Programme. As I am one of the first accredited Peer
Coaches for Dina School my current challenges include embedding the Peer
Coaching process into Powys Schools and using the School Readiness programme as a seamless process for transition between Pre-School Settings and main-stream schools.
