Objective
To stimulate thinking concerning the teaching profession and life as evidenced by demonstrating ability to
logically analyze, criticize, and/or choose alternatives consistent with some value orientation.
To provide a basis upon which future and current music teachers may identify issues and trends in the music teaching
profession, with the concurrent expectation that students will be able to articulate, document, and defend a personal
philosophy of music education.
