Literature Survey for the topics and subtopics you selected (If you don’t know what
your subtopics are, contact me immediately)
 Summary, 5% of the final grade
o 1 page for each topic/subtopic. This should be at least three paragraphs.
First paragraph describes the background and overview/importance of the
topic. Second paragraph describes the summary of the issues on the
subtopic. Third paragraphs describes the summary of work done in this
area and what you will be covering in the next two seminars)
 Literature Survey (10% of the final grade)
o ALL references you have collected after an exhaustive search from
IEEE, ACM, IETF, Google and other places)
o Categorize the references into different groups. .For example,
overview/survey, subtopic1, subtopic2, etc.,
 Division of Labor,
o What are you doing and what others are doing in your team.
This can be common to all the people in the team
Final Report (25% of the final grade)
This is based on your subtopic. This should be an overview article on the subtopic you
picked. For format and examples, see IEEE Network magazine archives for examples.
This report should not copy any text (as it is) from the references. If you don’t know
what is your topic, contact me immediately.
Seminar I Format (total of 50-60 minutes per topic; 20% of final grade)

 Use as many pictures/images/tables/plots possible for conveying your
message.
 Submit slides one week before the presentation
