Red Ribbon Week 2015 is here! The Red Ribbon Campaign was started when drug traffickers in
Mexico City murdered a Drug Enforcement Agency agent in 1985. This began the continuing
tradition of displaying Red Ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs. The
mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the
creation of a DRUG-FREE AMERICA.
Be sure to wear your Red Ribbons throughout this week. Red Ribbon Rovers will be awarding
prizes randomly throughout the week to students who are wearing their ribbons and who dress up
for the theme days. Also, find a twin and match on Tuesday for Twin Day, get all your Red out
for Wednesday’s Wear Red day, Show how super being Drug free is for Thursday’s Superhero
Day and finally on Friday wear your favorite Poquessing or team jersey or shirt for Spirit Day!
Let's have a great Red Ribbon Week at Poquessing!
