Dear Parents / Guardians,
We are quickly heading towards the end of the academic year but there is so
much more still to happen this term.
Staffing
Mrs. Bullough has resigned from her position as teacher at Scoill Vallajeelt. I
would like to thank Mrs. Bullough on behalf of all colleagues, parents and
children she has worked with over her years at Scoill Vallajeelt. On behalf of the
school, I would like to wish her a fond farewell.

(A new member of staff will be recruited to fulfil Mrs. Bullough’s position, who
will teach in Y3 for 2 afternoons a week as Mrs. Kinrade will not teach 2
afternoons)
E-safety Talk
An E-safety talk will take place at Scoill Vallajeelt on Monday 22nd June from 67pm. This will be run by Mr. Graham Kinrade from the Department of Education
@scoillvallajeelt
and Children who is a School Improvement Advisor with a specialism in IT.
Please come along to this meeting to find out about how we can educate and
safeguard our children with respect to new and developing technologies.
Transition to Secondary Schools
This will take place on Wed
th
th
8 and Thurs 9 July. As the children
will be wearing their Scoill
Vallajeelt school uniform, they will be
allowed to travel to their
secondary school for free on the school buses on these days.
Whole School Trip
The Whole School Trip will take place on Thursday 16th July to Peel.

Free School Meals
If you are entitled for Free School Meals, the form is now available from the
Department or you can come and collect one from the School Office. If you
currently are in receipt of Free School Meals, you will need to apply for the
next academic year. You can also apply online at
FreeSchoolMeals.DEC4@doe.gov.im.
Beware
Some of the children like to play in the woods next to school at the end of the
school day. Over the last week, a few of the children have been injured by a
rogue piece of barbed wire in the boggy area and also a piece of wood with nails
in. Could you please remind the children about their safety when out playing
and also what would be a good choice to make if they found something
dangerous.

circumstances but we will endeavour to inform parents as quickly as possible)
