Glenwood Parents’ Committee

1) Mrs Mcgrory had made contact with Govan starter pack charity for a list of
children and adults that were needing gift. Unfortunately the charity still had sent
the list. Committee agreed that if the they didn't give list before 1 of December we
would just make labels ourselves with a mixture of ages for boys and girls. Mrs
Mcgrory agreed to get small Christmas tree set up and ask Mrs Bevaridge to
print up the labels for tags.
2) Committee were pleased to hear that outdoor classroom has been approved
by council officials. Mrs Reid asked how the lottery bid was coming along. Mrs
Mcgrory said that Mrs Brown had nearly completed form so hopefully make
application in the New Year. It was asked how much money was raised with
Christmas cards and photographs. Mrs Mcgrory agreed to bring account reports
to next meeting.
3) The committee was asked if the could wrap children Christmas gifts, which all
present were in agreement and made a date for the 12th of December. It was
suggested by Mrs Reid that we could email all parents to get more help for
wrapping gifts. Mrs Mcgrory would do this.
4) Mrs Garity asked if staff need any help with the Nativity. Mrs Mcgrory
explained that each parent would be asked to provide the simple costumes for
their child once the children had been given their roles. A letter will be given to
each parent telling them what their child was and they needed for costume.
