MiRNAs regulate at least one third of all protein-coding genes. This review discusses those miRNAs implicated in psoriasis. IMMUNOLOGY/INFECTION Prevalence of contact allergy to p-phenylenediamine (PPD) in the European general population FREE A cross-sectional study of over10,000 people in 5 European countries confirms a high rate of pphenylenediamine (PPD) contact allergy, especially among users of hair colorants and those with black henna tattoos. Of these, 62% occurred in women and were 2.8 times more likely to have an aggressive histology than those in older patients. Sensitivity to first seasonal sun exposure, number of painful and blistering childhood sunburns, and recreational sun exposure were associated with BCC development in both age groups, but more strongly in early onset cases.
