microRNAs in Psoriasis FREE
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are approximately 22 nucleotide non-coding RNAs that bind
messengerRNA (mRNA) and disrupt translation into protein or trigger mRNA degradation.
MiRNAs regulate at least one third of all protein-coding genes. This review discusses those
miRNAs implicated in psoriasis.

Prevalence of contact allergy to p-phenylenediamine (PPD) in the European general
population FREE
A cross-sectional study of over10,000 people in 5 European countries confirms a high rate of pphenylenediamine (PPD) contact allergy, especially among users of hair colorants and those with
black henna tattoos.

Distinct histologic subtypes and risk factors for early onset basal cell carcinoma: A
populationbased case control study from New Hampshire FREE
Among 1578 newly diagnosed BCCs identified in New Hampshire US, 674 occurred before age
50 years (early onset) at an average age of 43 years. Of these, 62% occurred in women and were
2.8 times more likely to have an aggressive histology than those in older patients. Sensitivity to
first seasonal sun exposure, number of painful and blistering childhood sunburns, and
recreational sun exposure were associated with BCC development in both age groups, but more
strongly in early onset cases.
