We hope all the children have a happy (and hardworking) year. Many thanks for making me feel so welcome here at Cloudside Junior School. I look forward to working alongside yourselves, the children, governors and other local schools to ensure learning at Cloudside is meaningful, engaging and fun for every child everyday. ATTENDANCE This week’s attendance is 97.7%. This week’s class attendance was won by 3S and 4C and the most punctual classes were 5C, 5S and 6C. VALUES LED EDUCATION We are very excited to be introducing the Values Curriculum to Cloudside Junior School. The values led curriculum is an approach that nourishes, and enables learners to flourish, making a difference to the world through who and how they are. A Values led approach encourages our children to develop their reflective and aspirational attributes and attitudes. These can be nurtured to help people discover the very best of themselves, which enables them to be good citizens and prepare them for the life of work. Please take the time to discuss values that enable your child to be the best successful learners and citizens they can be. The accompanying homework will provide you with further detail and we look forward to seeing the ideas your child brings back to school MEET THE TEACHERS On Thursday evening, 24th September, you are invited to come along and meet your child’s new teacher in their classroom.
