Head Lice Parent Notification Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian:
This letter is to inform you that a case of head lice has been identified in your child’s
classroom.
Please check your child’s(children’s) hair daily for the next couple of weeks and on a
regular basis thereafter. Head lice are much easier to treat if caught early.
If you should discover a case of head lice, you can visit the Tacoma-Pierce County
Health Department website at www.tpchd.org for head lice information including
treatment options.
If you have further questions, contact your licensed health care provider or the TacomaPierce County Health Department via their information line at 253.798.6410. You may
also contact the school nurse at your child’s school.
