Vesey Elementary Parent Policy
2014-2015
Vesey Elementary School is a community of students, families and educators that is committed to creating and
supporting an effective learning environment and high student achievement. We are building a strong
partnership by engaging students, staff, families and the community to help our students achieve their greatest
potential. Our policy outlines the numerous ways that we have and will continue to establish these partnerships
to help students succeed as we have a cohesive collaboration.
Staff and parents will hold an Annual Meeting to receive the Title 1 budget information. This information will be shared
several times throughout the school year.
The Title 1School Parent Involvement Policy will be updated annually and made available for review by parents, and staff
at each school. The school policy will also be sent home for students and parents. A needs assessment will be conducted
each year to determine what areas need to be addressed through workshops and meetings, and to assess the quality of
communication between home and school.
School personnel will provide a variety of meeting times and locations for the mentioned activities, as requested, to serve
all families. The school shall provide appropriate access for those with special needs.
