WHAT IS IT?
Do you have a child who may seem overly sensitive, or “acts out” or appears to be
panicky, or refusing to go to school, or very nervous, and/or possibly withdrawn? You
may find this group to be very informative then. It’s an educational group for parents
who have anxious children (infant to young adult). Topics covered include: what anxiety
looks like in children, where it comes from, themes and concepts in effective parenting,
and practical tips for decreasing your child’s anxiety.

This group will be held at Sardis Elementary

Saturday October 27th, 9am-2pm

Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH).
WHO IS FACILITATING IT?
Facilitator: Trish Lewis (School District Counsellor), Yanez Koenig (Child & Youth
Mental Health Intern) and Megan Bisskey (Fraser Valley Aboriginal Child and Family
Services Mental Health Clinician)
