Introduction
Huey P. Newton was a man full of courage. When he
was little his family was very poor, yet they never went
hungry. He was a civil rights leader, and had gone to
jail many times. He did many corsages things though
the way he handled things wasn’t
Early Life
 Huey was the youngest 7 children
 Moved around the san Francisco bay area.
 Gone to jail twice by age 14
 At age 16 studied law
Accomplishments
 Created the black panther party
 Made many programs to help black children in need
 Made a group within the black panthers to protect black
neighborhoods from police brutality
Obstacles
 Went to jail many times but the meager crimes he was
set free early do to lack of evidence
 Police brutality killed a boy at age 16 for being on the
Black Panthers
Later Years
 Huey went to Santa Cruz to earn a P.H.D
 Became a drug addict
 Shot in a drug dealing gone wrong
