Blueberry Enzyme-A New Industry for Health of Mankind
Cong Yu
The General Manager of Jin-Yes Enzyme
1. What are enzymes?
—They are basic ingredients of life.
•
•
Originally, enzymes were attached importance to in Taiwan and then,
in Southeast Asia. However, the people in the mainland of China have
not recognized the functions of enzymes until much later.
Insufficiency of enzymes is the first health hazard for mankind.
I believe that many of us have a question. That is “what are
enzymes?” Simply speaking, the enzyme, which is also called ferment,
mainly consists of over 20 multi-amino acids. The enzymes are
classified by functions into six categories, namely, oxidation-reduction
enzyme, transferase, hydrolase, resolvase, isomerase and synthesis
proenzyme.
So far, there have been thousands of known enzymes and
each enzyme has its specific functions. That is to say, lipase
cannot be used to decompose protein. And this specialty is
called “specificity” of enzymes. Working as the biocatalysts,
the enzymes participate in all physiological activities of the
human body. None of these complicated or simple
psychological activities, including decomposition of the food
that has been taken in by the body, synthesis and metabolism of
the body, can occur without the involvement of enzymes.
Extensively acting on all organs and tissues of the human body,
the enzymes do not merely play their roles for a specific point or
part of the human body, but function as essential substances
necessary for the whole body. Although the human body is able
to produce enzymes, this kind of ability may be reduced due to
the internal and external causes, such as the increasing age,
maturing of the body, environmental contamination,
inappropriate dieting habits, irregular lifestyle, abuse of drugs,
etc, so that the activity of enzymes becomes weaker and that
the whole enzyme metabolic system is negatively affected.
•
Enzymes are proteins that are produced by the living body and
have the catalytic function. Nearly all chemical changes of a
living body occur with the help of such function of enzymes. As
the indispensible substance to maintain life and activity of cells
as well as the important compositions of cells, enzymes are the
indicators that determine health and illness status of mankind.
Involved in all kinds of chemical changes of a living body, the
enzymes, as special proteins, are essential ingredients of life for
us. The psychological changes, such as digestion of food,
actions of hands and feet, thinking of the brain and so on, do
not cease at any time in a living body and hence, the enzymes
are also involved throughout these activities. The nutrients that
we take in from food are mainly starch and their sources are
principally whole grains. In addition, glycogen from meats and
livers of animals, lactose from cow’s milk and fructose from
fruits are also the energy sources of mankind.
2. Why do we need to
drink enzymes?
•
•
•
•
•
It is everyone’s wish to have a healthy body. However, you can see a great
number of people suffering from kinds of chronic diseases everywhere. What
cause these diseases? I think we the reasons are nothing more than the
following ones:
1. As a result of overdevelopment, our living environment teams with
pollutants and hazardous or poisonous substances.
2. Some people have not developed proper common sense on nutrition and
health care and fail to adhere to the principle of “nutritionally balanced”,
giving rise to dietary bias and nutritional disorder.
3. Some people do not know and it is difficult for them to obtain the
nutritionally balanced food.
4. Some people try to maintain a healthy status by excessively relying on
medicines, but have not realize that the fundamental way to achieve a healthy
status and longevity is to take in the vital energy from the most “primitive”
food.
5. Some people have not developed the concept of life cultivation and health
preservation. They do not see a doctor until being attacked by a disease and
hardly realize that health care is more important than treatment.
The above-mentioned are the main reasons causing
the unhealthy status of modern people while
drinking enzymes is the optimal way to health care.
Enzymes are food-like, but not drug-like drinks and
are purely nature. They contain all kinds of nutrients
necessary for the human body so that they can
replenish those nutrients that are insufficient and
hard to take in by the body, hence achieving the
effect of balanced nutrition.
3. Diagnose diseases from the
perspective of enzymes
Enzymes are indispensible for metabolism in the
human body and play an essential role in the body
activities, ranging from secretion of glands to normal
operations of the immune system. This is only a rough
description of the relation between enzymes and the
human body. As a matter of fact, enzymes are found
nearly related to all well-known diseases when we
analyze these diseases.
•
•
Too much enzymes in blood may be the harbingers of some
diseases. Lipase decomposes triglyceride into fatty acid.
Pancreas will secrete a great deal of fat into the digestive tracts
since it has obtained much lipase from blood. Therefore, too
much lipase in the blood may suggest the problem of pancreas.
When the pancreas becomes inflamed, the lipase content in
serum will rise.
Phosphoric acid exists in prostate, erythrocytes and blood
platelets of the human body and can be decomposed in blood
by phosphatase. Therefore, we can diagnose whether a patient
has developed prostatic cancer by determining the
phosphatase content in his serum. Enzymes do not only play an
important role in food digestion, but also have considerable
function for diseases and other metabolisms. In fact, the rate of
metabolism is controlled by enzymes. The faster the rate is, the
more enzymes are needed and the earlier they are used up.
•
•
•
Sports and acute diseases can both sharply increase secretion of
enzymes. In 1933, Dr. Jenner obtained three amylase values
from 115 patients who suffered from 28 acute inflammations,
respectively. The amylase values of 73% of test samples rose
and this value also increased in the blood, urine and excrement
samples of the patients with pneumonia, acute appendicitis,
malaria, tuberculosis, fever or paediatric diseases.
Rise of the rate of any metabolism, including fever,
cardiorespiratory activity, digestion, muscular activity or
pregnancy, is related to increase of the enzyme activities.
More importantly, the higher the temperature is, the more
enzyme activities there are. Therefore, the activities of enzymes
are extensively seen when a patient suffers from an acute
disease, fever or when he/she does sports. In other words, the
workload of enzymes is higher at 40℃ than the normal body
temperatures.
•
•
•
•
Apparently, the enzyme activities have a direct correlation with
the disease-resistant system of the body when they have
response to a fever or inflammation. But we should bear in mind
that the enzyme activities decrease when the fever is gone.
In effect, enzyme can be used up more easily when our
metabolic rate increases (e.g., in the course of illness,
detoxification or digestion). This tells us how important it is to
maintain sufficient enzyme content in our bodies. It is true that
we can defend the attack of diseases when we are young.
However, this is achieved at the price of overspending enzymes
in the body.
The immunity is closely related to the storage of enzymes in the
body. The higher the storage is, the stronger the immunity of
the body is, and hence the healthier the person is.
Enzymes, which are like scavengers in the human body, can
absorb and decompose foreign substances in a bid to prevent
clogged arteries and maintain flexibility of joints.
4. Functions and Intake
of Enzymes
• In view of a variety of enzymes, the International
Enzyme Committee has defined the systemic
naming rules for them.
• As we know, in Chinese, the name of each kind
of enzymes is ended with “Mei”, which means
enzyme. Therefore, we can judge the function of
an enzyme from its name. E.g., the protease can
catalyze protein-related reactions, the lipase can
catalyze fat-related reactions, the cellulose can
catalyze cellulose-related reactions and the
amylase can catalyze starch-related reactions.
The Five Functions of Enzymes:
1. Improvement of physical fitness—Enzymes can make the body slightly alkaline, remove the
foreign substances in the body and maintain balance of enteric bacterium.
2. Decomposition—Enzymes can help to digest and decompose food and accelerate adsorption of
heat and nutrition by the body to sustain life.
3. Regeneration of cells—Enzymes can help proliferation of healthy cells and regeneration of
damaged cells.
4. Antibiosis and anti-inflammatory action—Enzymes can induce and strengthen the antiseptic
functions of white cells and help to remove the invading germs and festers.
5. Blood purification—Enzymes can decompose and remove toxins and hazardous cholesterols in
the blood as well as blood fat so that the blood vessels can be kept unobstructed.
Since they are so important to the
human body, how can we take in
enzymes in our daily life?
1. Enzymes exist in bodies of all kinds of animals and
plants and hence can be taken in through our daily
diet. However, one of the features of enzymes is its
inadaptability to high temperature. Therefore, any
cooking method involving heating, such as canning,
heating, disinfection, baking, roasting, stewing or
deep frying can destroy nearly all enzymes in the
food.
2. Most people eat cooked food as a result of our
dietary habit and can only obtain very limited
amount of enzymes from food. This can increase
the loads of enzyme-secreting organs, such as
the liver, pancreas, spleen, etc, and result in
degeneration of functions of the digestive
organs and other human tissues. Therefore, in a
view to replenishing enzymes necessary for our
bodies, we should take in botanical enzyme
liquid or powder to reduce the loads of the
organs and tissues and maintain the normal
functionality of the body, in addition to
obtaining them from uncooked food.
。
5. Enzymes Change our Whole Life,
Making us Enjoy
a healthy, beautiful and longer life
The following improvements can be fully achieved by long-term and
gradual adsorption of enzymes by the body:
◎The visceral organs can be well maintained. →The stomach can
have a good rest.
◎The potential ability of the body can be uplifted. →We may feel full
of physical strength.
◎The body cells can be revitalized. →we can keep the young and
beautiful status for long.
◎The bowels can be cleaned. →A hygienic status of the bowels can
be achieved.
◎The assimilation of the body can be strengthened. →The ability to
nutrition adsorption is bettered.
◎The immunity is increased. →The functions of white cells can be
built up.
6. Magical Effects of Enzymes
Different enzymes have different characteristics. Therefore, they have
amazing and magical effects in our daily life, apart from their special
improvements for human health. For instance,
1. Honey egg juice: The whole egg can become nutritious and healthy
beverage with splendid taste after being decomposed by the fruit
enzyme (brewed in boiled water or ice water).
2. Facial treatment: Thanks to their function of decomposition, enzymes
can help to remove wastes that have accumulated in the pores as
well as keratins in the faces.
3. Periodontal pains: To cure inflammation of or remove the dead cells
from the gums is quite difficult, but an ideal effect can be achieved
for either of the above diseases by holding in the mouth enzymes
before sleep.
4. Meat cooking: When cooking meats, such as stir-fried beef or stirfried large intestine with garlic shoots, we may slice the meat into
cubes and soak it in enzyme-containing water for 20 minutes before
cooking. Such a cooking way will make the meat perfectly tender.
5. Rice cooking: Wash the rice and then soak it in enzymecontaining water for about minutes. Do not wash the rice again,
but put it directly into the electric cooker and cook it. Such an
approach will ensure the cooked rice sweet and tasty.
6. Treatment of scalds: If you are scalded, you should wash the
wound with cold water for 5-10 minutes and apply enzyme
powder onto it, which will help to achieve the effects of antiinflammation, reduction of swelling and removal of bubbles.
7. Parasite expelling: Children or pets that suffer from parasites
(e.g., roundworms, pinworms) in their bowels can excrete most
of the parasites after taking enzymes for three days successively.
8. Refreshment: The sale food, especially meats, means that some
cells in it are dead. You can soak it in water with enzyme powder
for 20 minutes so as to decompose the dead cells and refresh
the food.
7. On Homemade Enzymes
•
•
•
The homemade enzymes are made based on the fact that enzymes abound
in fruits. The bacteria will produce gases, ferment or even go mouldy as
long as they are provided with sugar, which is consumed as food of
bacteria. However, it is recommended that we’d better not eat the food
that has been fermented with the bacteria in the air as the content of
enzymes in it is very low and cannot substitute for the digestive enzymes of
those potential enzymes, thus having very limited positive functions for the
human body. Instead, such food may hazard our health if the harmful
bacteria, such as the common escherichia coli, are mixed into it carelessly.
The enzymes produced in such a way are used as fertilizers or detergents,
but are seldom eaten by people or used in health care.
Blended enzymes are the original enzyme fluid into which some complex
ingredients are added and thus the natural ingredients of enzyme have
been changed. The blended enzymes have low activity and fewer enzyme
consortiums, but contain more infectious and hazardous microbes.
Accordingly, we must fully comprehend and publicize the knowledge on
enzymes so that we can recognize the high-quality enzymes and facilitate
the spread of healthful concepts. We should try to avoid jeopardizing our
health due to pursuit to health. Otherwise, the loss will outweigh the gain.
8. Rigorous Manufacturing
Process of Blueberry Enzyme
•
•
Founded in 2013, Jingye Biotech Co., Ltd is a modern plant integrating
research and development, fermentation, maturation and bulking. The
level of our clean work zone is far beyond the requirements for a foodgrade enterprise. Meanwhile, we have the internationally most advanced
fermentation system, the annual enzyme capacity of which is over 3000
tons, and our plant is the largest base of research and development and
production of enzymes in Asia.
In the course of blueberry enzyme production, the most advanced acidbase oxidizing water is used in the cleaning and disinfecting system, which
has been designated the special technique for the 2008 Olympic Games.
Our enzyme products are manufactured by the dominant bacteria
technique, with the 13 strains of dominant bacteria originating from
University of Pennsylvania of USA. As the core productivity, the
fermentation strain plays the irreplaceable role in the process of
production. Moreover, the adoption of air-controlled fermentation
technique has effectively increase the reproductive rate and growth
activity, reduced the fermentation cycle and overcome the disadvantage
that the amount of active cultures decreases with the increase of acidity
and which often occurs in the traditional natural fermentation process.
We have chosen to build our plant in Qingdao, the beautiful
coastal city of China, and selected the blueberry enzyme, a new
kind of compound enzyme product that is made principally from
blueberry, as our product. The enzymes extracted from blueberry
are better than those from other fruits and boast of special effects
that other fruit enzymes do not have. Meanwhile, in the course of
production, we have adopted the foodstuff process method
introduced from Taiwan, which is distinct from other processes.
Furthermore, we adopt the completely aseptic high-press
fermentation method in terms of treatment of blueberry, which
helps to successfully preserve the biogenic elements and obtain
the complete enzymes in blueberry. By doing so, we can secure the
intact blueberry enzyme, the important bio-enzyme which
originally hides deeply inside the blueberry, following appropriate
processing, so that it can be directly applied by the human body.
Our products stand for a new milestone on the journey of
development of the blueberry industry.
Anthocyanin, an ingredient that originally exists in blueberry, is
well preserved in the blueberry and hence ensures that the they
can live in the human body thanks to the activity of the
probiotic bacteria. In fact, many a function of the blueberry can
be attributed to the high content of natural pigments in it. Dr.
Ronald Prior of the nutrition center of USDA have found that the
content of pigments in blueberry is much higher than other
fruits by comparing their contents of blueberry fruits from
different places and of different kinds. The flavonoids
compounds may be depleted with the tradition blueberry
processing method, as damages the precious nutritive value of
blueberry. By contrast, our processing method can effectively
preserve the above compounds because we can strictly control
the fermentation conditions with our processing method and
have set rigid requirements for the activity of probiotic bacteria
in the course of fermentation. Jingye’s manufacturing
processing of blueberry enzyme, which dwarfs all of the blended
enzymes, can effectively avoid loss of nutrients and stands for
the edible method of a new era.
The blueberry industry is the most healthy industry
and the blueberry enzyme is the health cause worthy
of our full devotion and commitment. I hope that all of
the peers in this industry will spare no effort and
create a new height for the blueberry health cause.
Thanks!
