It is very important to use the
highest quality oils and dilute in
a base oil at a fraction of the human dose and avoid certain oils altogether.
Small dogs (Less than 60 lbs): 2-3 drops in 1 ounce
or 80-90% Carrier Oil to 3-5 drops
Large dogs (60-100 lbs): 6-8 drops in 1 ounce
or 3-5 drops neat

Add dōTERRA Essential Oils to your pure, all-natural soaps,
shampoos and spritzers.

Store oils in a cool dark environment.

Recipe: Cough & Cold
• 2 drops melaleuca
• 2 drops eucalyptus
• 2 Tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil
• For 3 days: Apply 2x daily to chest, throat,
and rib cage
• Disinfect sleeping area: wash blankets
with 6 drops lavender or eucalyptus
Recipe: Arthritic Dog Treatment

2 drops lavender
3 drops ginger
2 Tbsp Fractionated Coconut Oil
Work the oil into effected joints and
surrounding muscles. OK to be messy
and for the dog to lick it off!
Recipe: Nervous Anxiety
• 2-3 drops neat or diluted Serenity Blend
onto the bottom of your dog’s paws. Or
apply to your hands and gently massage it
into your dog’s fur (dogs and people love
massage!)
Other ideas for:
Muscle pain relief, Calming
Apply a few drops of Lavender oil on the
area of concern (dilute for smaller dogs
but “neat” is OK for larger)
Massage one drop of Lavender
essential oil during shampooing, this
will help calm and relax your pet.

Arthritis, Dysplasia, Sprains & Strains
Apply a few drops of Eucalyptus oil to any
areas where your pet is experiencing
discomfort from arthritis, dysplasia, a sprain
or strain. The oil can be combined with
Lavender and Fractionated Coconut Oil for
easier application.

What to use for:
Skin Issues
Apply a few drops of melaleuca, grapefruit
or lavender essential oil to sensitive skin
areas to soothe irritated and inflamed skin
and minimize pet’s discomfort.
For cuts and scrapes melaleuca or lavender
naturally disinfect the wound and help it heal
faster with their antiseptic properties. The
oils can be combined with an ointment
and applied to the wound.

What to use for:
Dandruff and Ticks
Apply 4 drops of grapefruit or melaleuca to 2
ounces of Non-Medicated Dog Shampoo.
Shampoo your pet OUTDOORS, or at your
local dog bath, lathering well – so ticks stay
outside when they leave the dog’s fur.
Rinse your pet well and thoroughly dry the fur. It
is suggested to only give your pet this bath no
more than once a week. Most dogs have very
soft fur after this bath making brushing easier.
