Product Concept
Sony Medical is pleased to introduce four new Medical Video Recorders featuring High Definition and Full High
Definition recording capabilities. They are designed to support modern workflows using internal Hard Disc Drive
and external USB devices (Flash memory or HDD) or network attached storage devices (NAS) as well as more
traditional workflows using DVD-R discs. The compact design allows for easy integration into medical systems.

 Network Attached Storage Devices (NAS)
Additional exporting of a selection of recorded video to additional media is possible at

2-Year Prime Support included in the HVO-5x0MDseries
Prime Support is SONY’s enhanced warranty, after sales support service that provides extra
protection and peace of mind, above and beyond your warranty cover. PrimeSupport is
included with the new HVO-5x0MDseries. The support services (PS.MEDL.12X.1) are the same
for the entire Sony medical recorder line up :

 Sony PrimeSupport Helpdesk
(Multilingual)
Helpdesk support services are available Monday to Friday 09:00-18:00 CET
(Central European Time), excluding Local National Holidays. The
multilingual team (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) provide
access to product specialists, who are able to advise and act as the first
point of contact for Service & Support enquires. Where diagnosis cannot be
made by the helpdesk, the issue may be escalated to a senior specialist.
 Advanced Replacement
Where the issue cannot be resolved by the Helpdesk, Sony will arrange for a
replacement. Unit will be shipped to an agreed address. Target is to
despatch it the same day if diagnosed before 15:00 CET Monday to Friday.
*We reserve the right to replace items beyond economic repair, with a
refurbished model of a similar specification.
 Logistics Covered
Units can be collected from and returned to any address within mainland
areas of EU countries, Norway and Switzerland. For all other areas, please
contact the helpdesk for further assistance.
 Decontamination certificate

can be collected.
