The population of Madhya Pradesh is higher than the combined population of Australia, Sri lanka and Afghanistan Sixteenth countries in the world have population more than that of Madhya Pradesh . It is for the first time that significant fall of growth rate is seen in the rural areas of EAG States . In MP it is still higher in urban areas compared to rural areas. In Madhya Pradesh growth rate is decline both in rural and urban areas, but decline in urban is higher by 0.6 point compared to rural areas.
