A set for gates contains 19 vertical slats (= to fill a single swing gate wing + 1

Installation
The slats are inserted in the panels. On each cross sections of the
vertical slats with the horizontal laths, the fixation is done by
means of a galvanised or stainless nail or screw.

Installation
The strip is woven through the meshes of the installed fence and
can be easily cut to length. The strips are fixed to the fence by
means of a simple tie strap (not included).

5. Guarantee
On the 4 different privacy fencing systems in both wood & PVC, Betafence offers a
10 year guarantee, on basis of the following conditions :
• Bekafor® Collfort (wood)
During the 10 years guarantee period (commencing from the date of the sales
invoice), Betafence replaces all wood products affected by fungus
(Basidiomycetes) or insects. The guarantee is only valid if the wood was not
treated and if galvanised screws are used. The warranty is not applicable for
damage caused during the handling, installation, once erected or when the
product is used for purposes for which it is not intended. The warranty covers a
free of charge replacement of the defective slats and excludes coverage of
possible direct and indirect losses and consequential damages.
• Bekafor® Nevada, Nylofor® Nevada & Colorado (PVC)
Betafence guarantees the stability of the slats for temperatures from -20°C to
+50°C for a period of 10 years, commencing from the date of the sales invoice.
The warranty is not applicable for damage caused during the handling, installation,
once erected or when the product is used for purposes for which it is not intended.
The warranty covers a free of charge replacement of the defective slats and
excludes coverage of possible direct and indirect losses and consequential
damages.

6. Posts
The privacy elements allow less passing of wind through the fence and
consequently, make the total fence system more sensitive to damages caused
by wind!
Before installation of the privacy elements, make certain that :
1.
the project location is not subject to strong winds
2.
the post are strong enough (see next page)
3.
the posts are sufficiently dug into the ground and anchored with concrete
4.
the fencing mesh or panels are properly fixed to the posts, eventually
foresee extra horizontal tension wires and brace posts (for chainlink &
Pantanets)

* These calculations are based on a fully impenetrable fence (100% wind impact = equal to a wall) and a
straight wind impact of 90° on the fence.
