EPIC AADHAAR SEEDING
● Unique and innovative program taken up
first time in India as per the directions of
Election Commission of India.
● Challenging exercise - pilot in 15 polling
stations interesting findings
● Seeding platform jointly managed by ECI
and GHMC

EPIC AADHAAR SEEDING
Objectives
● To cleanse the Photo Electoral Rolls by Weeding out
bogus / ghost / duplicate / shifted voters in GHMC
area and create correct Photo Voters List using
Aadhaar numbers
● Pilot for India and based on the findings Aadhar
linkage for voters through out India
● Reasons for taking up GHMC - high percentage of
Aadhaar coverage , low turn out of voters, voters in
electoral roll almost equal to population, ability to do
the pilot properly

SEEDING BY BLO & ERO
• EPIC Aadhaar seeding portal
• Enter the Aadhaar number
• (or) provide feedback against the EPIC number based on the
field survey done by BLO's.
• Dead, Shifted, duplicate, Ineligible, Not enrolled etc.
• Methods of Portal Seeding
• In-organic seeding : Directly through portal based on the
provided matches by verifying the EPIC and Aadhaar photos
and demographic data in the portal.
• Organic seeding : After field survey Aadhaar number is
entered against the EPIC Number. Seeding done after verifying
the EPIC and Aadhaar photos and demographic data in the
portal. If Aadhaar is not collected feedback is given.

Verification by the BLO, ERO and confirmed online.
