Some of the first credits….

Oldest Civilization- INDUS around 5000 years old.
When most of the people in the world were on a move in
search of food and shelter, people in this part of the
world, planned layouts, water storage, shelter, cultivation
and planned colonies and lived there.
Harrappa and Mohinjodaro being the 2 cities
Developed during this civilization.

Number System widely practicedHindu number system- It was promoted
worldwide by Arab rulers and called as
Hindu Arabic Number system.
“SUNYAM” void or null was in practice.
Arab Rulers gave the name as sifr and

later it was called as cypher in western
countries and then called it as zero.

Distance between earth and different planets
were ascertained and they had a good idea
about earth being round and different planets
revolving round the sun.

Aryabhatta


Aryabhatta was the first to
explain spherical shape,
size ,diameter, rotation
and correct speed of
Earth in 499 AD

Aryabhatta also gave an accurate
approximation for Pi.
In the Aryabhattiya, he wrote: "Add four to one
hundred, multiply by eight and then add sixty-two
thousand. the result is approximately the
circumference of a circle of diameter twenty
thousand. By this rule the relation of the
circumference to diameter is given." In other words,
Pi = 62832/20000 = 3.1416, correct to four roundedoff decimal places.

He was gifted with extraordinary ability and
talent.
At the age of 16 he was awarded as the
SARASWATHI.
At the age of 20 he had 7 MA degrees. They
were in the fields of numeracy, language,
psychology and other fields.

He had that extraordinary talent to extract
maths involved in vedas and define the use
of it.
 To recollect the technique easily, he gave
16 basic sutras or aphorisms or rhyming
statements. With which one can easily
remember and solve any given problem
quickly. (mostly in mind)


He came out with 14 volumes of books on
Vedic Maths. Which covered all the aspect of
problem solving.
Unfortunately these books were stolen/lost
from his ashram. (Mighty loss to India)
In his late ages, with his disciple he came out
with a book called as “VEDIC MATHS”.
