Softphone Licence
• The NCS8100 IP softphone application can be run
in three modes:
– Free mode - All features are available for 60 days.
– Standard mode - Excludes call recording and dial
paste.Requires one licence per user.
– Enhanced mode - All features are available. Requires two
licences per user.
Free Trial Version
Important Notes:
 All features work for 60 days without license registration.
 Demonstration version: 20 key operations (except dial key) is allowed in 60
days. (Around 10 calls)
 If customer needs more than 20 operations, please restart software.
(No need to restart PC)
 After 60 days, any feature operation requires license registration.
 Depending on condition of network and specification of PC and headset,
different call quality may be experienced.
 Please confirm details carefully with customer before license registration.
 After 1st license is registered, optional features (Recording and Dial Paste) do
not work without 2nd license, even if it is within 60 days.

• Each CD comes with 6 sets of Licence &
Registration IDs
• Install softphone on PC to generate Registration
number
• Visit secure licensing website with proper
credentials (User ID and Password) at:
https://eww.netreg.panasonic.co.jp/cgi-bin/keycode/index.cgi
• Enter License, Registration ID and Registration
number to generate Registration Key (license) for
softphone.

Customer interested in NCS8100 IP softphone
Dealer has already sold and installed several NT136’s or NT265’s at customer site.
However 10 channel of IP extension card circuits (16ch) are not used.
The customer already has a LAN setup, with VPN access to other offices.
Dealer offers NCS8100 IP Softphone Trial
Install IP softphone software to customers PCs and register to IP extension card
Tell Customer:
“You can try for 60 days, free of charge. If you like this product, please
contact me and you can buy the software licenses per user at that time.”
Software itself can be provided from PCC / NSC’s using web at free of charge.
The software is completely same as software in CD-ROM (Mass production).

Customer completed Trial, and likes the product
Now user wants to buy license.
User informs “Registration Number”
displayed on PC to the dealer
by e-mail or telephone.
Dealer buys KX-NCS8100 and
gets “Registration key” from license
server. Dealer sends the “Registration key”
to customer.
Software re-installation is not required.
Dealer does not need to go to customer site again.
(Software in CD-ROM is not used in this example.)
