Understanding Maximum Flow Rate
EXAMPLE (from previous page)
Incoming water = 57°
Rinnai Set-Point temperature = 120°
Subtract the incoming ground water temperature from the water heater’s set temperature for ∆T 120° - 57° = 63
The maximum GPM flow rate for any given ∆T can be found at the intersecting points along each model’s
specific flow curve
A GPM flow test from the temperature controller can verify each unit’s performance
