ACTIONS
 SURGIFLO™ has haemostatic properties. The
Flowable Gelatin Matrix provides an
environment for platelets to adhere and
aggregate within, building on thepatient’s
natural coagulation cascade.
 The patient’s endogenous thrombin is activated,
and the patient’s thrombin converts fibrinogen
into an insoluble fibrin clot. The thrombin
component of
 SURGIFLO™ provides an ancillary effect to the
innate haemostatic property of the Flowable
Gelatin Matrix.
INTENDED USE / INDICATIONS
 SURGIFLO™ is indicated for surgical procedures
(except ophthalmic) for haemostasis, when
control of capillary, venous and arteriolar
bleeding by pressure, ligature, and other
conventional procedures is ineffective or
impractical.
