Left hand is on the shaft of the float to control direction and amount of pressure placed on float. Keep blade at about a 45 degree angle to buccal side of tooth. Floating mandibular cheek teeth Remove enamel points from lingual edges of mandibular cheek teeth. Use a straight or offset float.
