Our Vision – Comments received










Several comments – no need to change
Town Centre should include reference to the Goods Yard - yes
Thorley Parish needs mentioning as part of point 3 – no its in (modified)
title
Transport – could mention improved transport links - yes
Reference to Garden City (Garden Suburb?) retain ‘along the principles of a
garden city’, no mention of Garden Suburb
Vision not unique
Town Centre = shopping paradise – the original words in Diane’s text are
good without ‘shopping paradise’. However may have knock on impact to
the rest of the vision
Community Space important – no this is an objective and sense of local
community appears in the vision already
Knowledge-based industries attracted to BS - needs more research before
changing vision – could lean on Town plan – Business team needs to
consider. Quality of employment offer should be included? Balance
Do we need to consult – yes but no change at this stage to draft.
