Since 2000, an intense effort was conducted in AZTI’s Marine Research
Division to set up a Data Management System to gather all the marine
datasets that were being produced by different in-house research projects.

DISCUSSION & CONCLUSIONS
ITSASGIS-5D has been developed primarily to:
 Provide access to spatial information produced & gathered in our
institute.
 Integrate GIS data with nD data, avoiding parallel viewers.
 Allow us to easily create customized web viewers focused on
specific user needs instead of viewers gathering lots of information.
 Make a development based on available open-source tools, and
adopting international standards & conventions.
