Clean water is a limited natural resource. If humans use too much
water, we can have a dire impact on the earth. Luckily, there are some
very easy ways to save water and help protect the environment.
Plumbing Leaks
– According to the EPA, a faucet that drips once per second can
waste 3,000 gallons of water a year. A leaky toilet can waste up to
200 gallons of water a day, which is 7,300 gallons a year. Call your
plumber to find and fix your leak, and the money you save on your
water bill will quickly pay for the service.
Take a Shower
– An average bath draws 70 gallons of water while a short shower can
use only 10 to 25, according to the EPA. The 50 gallons you save
each day adds up to over 18,000 gallons a year.
