E W N ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING AND LANDSCAPING •The Building Envelope has been designed i) to receive 75% of natural daylight to reduce energy consumption. ii) Access Friendly to differently-abled persons. •Out of total 79 trees existing on the site , only 19 were cut, and 11 transplanted ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING AND LANDSCAPING •More than 50% area outside the building is soft with plantation and grassing. •circulation roads and pathways soft with grass paver blocks to enable ground water recharge E&M Services REGULAR 1.Central Air Conditioning(HVAC) 2.Lifts 3.Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm 4.IBMS 5.DG Sets 6.UPS 7.CCTV system 8.Audio Visual System 9.Internal EI SPECIAL 1.Fully Automated robotic Parking for 330 cars ENERGY SCENARIO (Average Annual) Power Requirement (Base Case) 22.0 lakh KWh Power Requirement(Design Case) 13.6 lakh KWh Percentage savings 40% (approx) 14.3 lakh KWh Targeted Solar Power Generation Net Power generation 0.7 lakh KWh (Surplus) 22 ENERGY EFFICIENCY ECBC 2007 ACTUAL Lighting Power 11.8 W/sqm Density (LPD) 5 W/sqm HVAC load 20 sqm/Tr 40 sqm/Tr Total 100W/sqm 40 W/sqm 23 OPTIMIZED BUILDING ENVELOPE 1)PROPER ORIENTATION 2)INSULATED WALLS AND ROOF 3)GLASS TRANMITTING LIGHT BUT NOT HEAT OPTIMIZED DAY LIGHTING 1)ENERGY EFFICIENT LED LIGHTS 2)SENSORS CENTRAL PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OPTIMIZED ENERGY SYSTEMS I/C HVAC 1)CHILLED BEAM SYSTEM OF AIR CONDITIONING WITH <50% CONVENTIONAL ENERGY CONSUMPTION 2)GEOTHERMAL HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM 3)REGENRATIVE LIFTS 4)ENERGY EFFICIENT EQUIPMENT CENTRAL PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT CHILLED BEAM WORK AT SITE In the IPB project Chilled Beams are being installed in second floor to sixth floor. Chilled Beam Water in Temperature is 16° C and water out temperature is 20° C. Room temperature maintained is 26 ±1 ° C. Chilled Beams with Drain pan are used to drain out water droplets due to condensation during monsoon. 160 TR of air conditioning load of the Building is met through Chilled Beam system. CHILLED BEAMS INDUCTION UNITS OVERVIEW Primary air ventilation from Dedicated Outdoor Air Source Chilled Water Hot Water Total room mixing is achieved through Convection currents within the space A CHILLED BEAM INSTALLED AT SITE Chilled Water Return Pipe (½” dia.) Chilled Beam Chilled Water Supply Pipe (½” dia.) 28 Drain Pipe (¾” dia.) Flexible Duct (6 Inch dia.) Suppl y Air Induc ed Air A GEOTHERMAL HEAT EXCHANGE WORK AT SITE There are 180 vertical bores at the Depth of 80 meter all along the Building Premises. Minimum 3 meter distance is maintained between any two bores. Each bore is lowered with HDPE pipe U-loop (32mm outer Dia.) and grouted with Bentonite Slurry. Each U-Loop is connected to MS Header Pipe(100mm Dia.)which finally joins the Condenser Water Line in Plant Room. Condenser hot water is sent at 100°F (37.8° C) & back at 900 F (32.2° C). One U-Loop has 0.9 TR Heat Rejection capacity, so all together 160 TR of Heat rejection is obtained without using a cooling tower. GEO THERMAL HEAT EXCHANGE VERTICAL CLOSED LOOPS NET ZERO ENERGY A MAJOR CHALLENGE Renewable Energy to be Generated : 14 lakh KWh Per Year Area required for locating Solar panels : 6000 m2 Area available over terraces : 2200 m2 Creation of this additional space(6000 minus 2200 m2) in a multistoreyed building with restricted plot & roof areas where no structure including surface parking is provided around the building, was a big Constraint ,32 ACTUAL SOLAR POWER GENERATION (as on 25.01.2014) •Power Evacuation to grid started on 19.11.2013 •Power generation achieved 3000 KWh(per day) •Total generation so far 2.0 lakh KWh 33 Highest efficiency (20%) Solar PV panels Grid Interactive System SOLAR PV SYSTEM TOTAL AREA TOTAL AREA OF PANELS ANNUAL ENERGY Generation 930KWp CAPACITY 6000 M2 4650 M2 14.3 lakh units 34 36 37 UTILISATION OF FLY ASH Cement used is PPC (Portland Pozzolona Cement)(29% Fly Ash) Flyash (Reuse) : In all RCC, PCC, Plaster, Masonry Work.
