From WHO estimates:



75% of blindness is avoidable
90% of people with visual impairments live in developing
countries
80% of visual impairment is avoidable

CURRENTLY:




153 million people with visual impairment due to uncorrected
refractive errors
Globally, uncorrected refractive errors are the main cause of visual
impairment for children aged 5-15 years old
Prevalence of myopia is dramatically increasing amongst children in
SEA
Simplest, cheapest and widely used solution: SPECTACLES

Recycle used spectacles
Clean, fix and categorize spectacles
Store spectacles
Distribute these spectacles to the less fortunate citizens of
developing countries
Goals for the year 2011



Raise awareness of LSSC and its projects
Collect 10,000 pairs of spectacles
Reece trip for overseas mission trip
