Deborah Van Slyke has been teaching
elementary students for the past nine
years. She currently works as a Title I
Reading Teacher for the Merrillville
Community School Corporation, located
in Merrillville, Indiana. As a reading
teacher, Ms. Van Slyke specializes in
helping struggling students improve
their reading and language skills.
While working on her Master’s Degree in Instructional Design
and Technology at Purdue University Calumet, Ms. Van Slyke
