VOCABULARY EXPANSION WITH -IEREN VERBS German has many verbs that end in –ieren. They offer an easy way for German students with Latin-based language roots to expand their vocabulary because MANY (not all) of these –ieren verbs have related Latin-based verbs in other languages. In English, for example, some of these verbs end in –ate.
