ACF’s Responsibilities • Accept charitable donations, provide tax receipts and thank donors. • Ensure that gift was used according to the donor’s intent. • Share gift impact stories with our donors. • Provide reports to Fund Administrators (donations received, funds used, cash balances) Role of the Fund Administrator Fund administrator = Advocate Associate assigned responsibility for a restricted fund • Monitors the restricted fund balances and transfers (avoiding negative cash balances) • Approves transfers from the restricted fund that are consistent with the donor’s intent. • Helps ACF staff tell the story of fund’s use to donors (current and future).
