Gender discrimination is discrimination against a person or group on the grounds of sex or gender identity. Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 Prohibits discrimination because of pregnancy: 1. Employers cannot refuse to employ a woman because of pregnancy or terminate her 2.
