EPICS - Enterprise Provider Information and Constituent Services
An enterprise web-based system to support all of CYFD and its clients
EPICS Phase I will focus on building CACFP
CACFP - Child and Adult Care Food Program
A service delivery system which reimburses child care providers for
food/meals servers to children and adults in care

Providers with a criminal conviction and/or child abuse history will not be approved
as child care providers and therefore cannot mistakenly be allowed to become a child
care provider
Creating a more E-fficient New Mexico


Online submission of menus will reduce paperwork and increase provider
participation in CACFP
Enforce “zero tolerance” of abuse, neglect or exploitation


Help assure the health and safety of children in child care
Development of EPCIS and elimination of silo information systems into one common
platform and infrastructure
Expand and promote Online State Services

Open the doors for CYFD to provide secure online functionality to support and
protect the children, youth and families of New Mexico

Project Risks

Completion of Deliverables within Time Period
All project activities will be carefully managed by both technical and
program project managers
 Clear definition of project scope and prioritization of requirements by
project managers
 All issues will be addressed immediately to minimize impact to project
schedule


Funding for Project may not be Received Timely
CYFD will work closely with their federal partners to ensure project funds
are made available to ITS in a timely manner

