Innovation & Technology in Public Sector Programme e.g. LED lighting which is the result of Hong Kong’s R&D work being tested in public sector: - Bulk head lighting in housing estates under Housing Department;

- Street lighting on streets under Highway Department and in HKSTP;

- Task lighting in offices under Electrical and Mechanical Services Department

Therefore, a company collaborates with a local research institution in Hong Kong (i.e University or R&D Centre) will benefit the followings:

 Funding support from ITF;

 Opportunity for testing out in government departments or quangos (e.g. Hospital Authority);

 Reference which is useful in future marketing (either to bid for

Hong Kong government projects or to penetrate into the

Mainland market)
