• In 2010/11 we received 212,000 calls and attended
122,000 emergencies. This included:

13,000 serious fires

5,884 accidental fires in the home
• 12% of the fires in the country happen in London
• 22% of the false alarm calls in the country are made
in London
Fire Safety Regulation
• 14,500 fire safety inspections carried out each year
• 630 enforcement notices issued this year
• 6 fire safety prosecutions carried out in the previous
year
• We have a team of highly qualified fire safety
engineers
